In late 2017, MAY Heavy Equipment, founded in 1997 by Burt and Jacob May, merged with another strong Hyundai dealership, with 20 plus years in the business, called Rob’s Hydraulics. In January of 2018 National Equipment Dealers, LLC acquired MAY-RHI, along with Four Seasons Equipment and Earthmovers Construction Equipment. Since that time, MAY-RHI and NED, LLC continue to expand locations, personnel, equipment fleet, and overall capabilities across the Carolinas.
In October of 2021, NED, LLC purchased and merged with Conway, SC-based Richardson Service 1991, Inc. This merger further expanded NED’s service capabilities and product portfolio in the eastern Myrtle Beach area of South Carolina.
Today, NED Carolinas supports customers with eight service locations, located in Lexington, NC, Charlotte, NC, Clayton-Raleigh, NC, Grimesland, NC, Greenville-Spartanburg, SC, Columbia, SC, Conway-Myrtle Beach, SC, and Summerville-Charleston, SC.
Formerly Four Seasons Equipment
Four Seasons Equipment was established in 2001 by a seasoned group of construction equipment professionals with years of experience selling, renting, and supporting heavy equipment in the Houston and Dallas, Texas markets.
Four Seasons Equipment became part of National Equipment Dealers through a multi-company merger with MAY-RHI and Earthmovers Construction Equipment that took place in January of 2018. Four Seasons Equipment has represented the Hyundai Construction Equipment line since 2001 and the Bell Articulated Dump truck line since 2013. Today, NED Texas supports customers with large service facilities, robust parts inventories, and expert service, parts, and sales professionals at both locations in Houston and Dallas, Texas.
Formerly Earthmovers Construction Equipment
Earthmovers Construction Equipment was established in 2013 as a Bell articulated trucks distributor in Florida.
In early 2018, Earthmovers was acquired by National Equipment Dealers and quickly expanded to three locations over the next couple of years. Today, NED Florida supports customers all over central and south Florida with highly capable servicing locations in Apopka-Orlando, Tampa, and Fort Pierce.
NED, LLC, expanded operations through strategic acquisitions throughout Georgia. In addition to acquiring Grove River Machinery in 2021, NED added two more Georgia-based heavy equipment dealers to its portfolio in L&N Supply Company in September of 2022 and Crosby Equipment Company in February of 2023.
Grove River Machinery, a company established by Ken Richbourg 20 years ago as a heavy equipment leasing and financing company in Savannah, Georgia, transitioned into a traditional heavy equipment dealership and successfully represented the Hyundai product line in the region for 14 years.
L&N Supply Company, located in Dallas, Georgia has been serving the North Georgia area for over three decades and has earned a reputation for offering quality products and exceptional customer service.
Crosby Equipment Company, which had locations in Douglas and Macon, Georgia was a premier Hyundai dealer in the region, known for its strong customer relationships and reliable product support.
